Located at the heart of Officer Central, the play space was envisioned as more than just a playground. Designed as an immersive Australian native jungle-themed environment, it combines vibrant landscaping, accessible pathways and a diverse range of play experiences to encourage exploration, activity and connection for people of all ages.

This recognition reflects the shared commitment of the project team to create spaces that bring people together. Since opening, the play space has become a popular meeting point for local families, offering a place where children can play, neighbours can connect and residents can enjoy the outdoors close to home.

Recognised by an Industry Leader

Receiving a commendation from Parks & Leisure Australia highlights the value of creating well-designed public spaces that support healthy, connected communities.

A Collaborative Vision Brought to Life

The award-winning play space was designed by leading landscape architecture and urban design practice Tract Consultants, whose vision centred around creating a unique destination inspired by the Australian landscape. The result is a play environment enriched by extensive planting, accessible design and a broad range of play opportunities that cater to different ages and abilities.

Working alongside Cardinia Shire Council, YourLand Developments and the wider project team, Tract helped create a space that not only serves the community today but will continue to grow and evolve for years to come.

Life at the Centre of Everything

This recognition is another reminder of what makes Officer Central special. From its central park and playground to its connected location and thoughtfully planned neighbourhood, every element has been designed to support a vibrant and connected community.

The Central Park play space was created to bring people together, and this award is a reflection of that vision becoming reality.
